Debian

• Debian has CD vendors, network distribution and ISOs available.

• The easiest thing to do is use a make a single boot CD then use the network install.

  • You don't have to know of a local mirror site because the Debian main servers are fast or pass the load on to mirrors themselves.

• debian.math.lsu.edu Is a good mirror and shares their script so you can make your own. The mirror tools only get differences.
