Konqueror as an Image Browser

KDE's 3.2 version of Konqueror is one of the best file managers available and image handeling is excelent. Konqueror has all the tools you need to review and organize files. No seperate program is required to view, rotate or transfer images to another computer. Presentation is uncommonly graceful and intuitive.

Details are presented without losing the big picture. The left hand tree diagram presents directory structure without ambiguity. Tumbnails are generated for images, ps, html and other files. Tool tip popups with enlarged thubnails and file information make tiny thubnails practical. Right click menues are file type specific and present common actions, such as rotation.

Files are eaily be moved with split views. ftp, sftp and other file transfer protocals are supported transparently. Dragging and dropping files or directories accross directories or between machines calls a copy or move choice dialog.
