As it was ... Singing and Dancing with Debian Stable

This is my little music page. It details my recent struggle to get my music into a usable format. This was spurred on by my mom giving me a box of her old 45s. I was working too hard to take advantage of the early music sharing networks and now I have to do all the tedious work myself. Recent advances in free software convinced me that the effort was worth while. A quick look at the 100 year old phonograph face plate on the right shows that licensing and patents have always been an issue with canned music, so my troubles are not unique.

... is as it was and always will be.

I'm not a sound guru, this is a typical and detailed user experience. You can find real and useful information in my references page.
